The message of Psalm 23:4 is one of comfort. ![]() It is commonly used during funerals or by those approaching death. Psalm 23:4, which reads, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (ESV), is one of the most well-known verses in the Bible.
